Mechling Engineering & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist to lead environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects in Jacksonville and throughout Florida. This position is intended for a licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist.
The successful candidate will manage projects involving site assessment, groundwater monitoring, remediation, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental construction oversight, and regulatory closure. Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical reports, SARs, RAPs, ISR proposals, regulatory submittals, conceptual site models, and corrective action documents; coordinating with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and laboratories; managing project budgets and schedules; and providing technical guidance to junior staff.
Experience with FDEP Chapter 62-780, Florida soil and groundwater sampling procedures, Brownfields, petroleum cleanup, PFAS investigations, pesticide-impacted sites, and environmental construction oversight is highly desirable.
