Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations. The accountant will work closely with the finance team to prepare financial statements, track company expenses, and maintain efficient accounting systems.

Role and Responsibility
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly classified, documented, and recorded in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Process subcontractor/vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment in accordance with payment terms and insurance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit process by providing requested documentation, reconciliations, and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Collaborates closely with other departments to ensure accurate project invoicing, project expenses, and bank reconciliation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance related role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This is an in-office position, requiring regular interaction with team members and management. The role offers a supportive environment focused on maintaining the financial integrity of our companies.
