Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.
EssentialJob Duties
- Fundamental knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for assistance, and evaluation of a customer’s satisfaction.
- Analyze and evaluate data, identify issues in documentation, and suggest solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to pay attention to detail, and ability to complete work tasks thoroughly.
- Ability to make mathematics calculations and tabulations accurately. Analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures.
- Ability to complete various tasks simultaneously under time constraints and stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to listen to and discuss facts and concerns from clients, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain continued proficiency in using technology and software applications, including but not limited to office suite, database, project planning, accounting, and electronic storage software.
- Knowledge of the Firm’s policies and procedures.

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration from an accredited college or university or equivalent education or work experience is required. Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or Master of Accountancy (MAcc) preferred.
- A national accounting certificate or a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing is desired.
- Three (3) years of audit experience in a public accounting firm is preferred.
- Demonstrate a general knowledge and use of Quick Books Online.
- Demonstrate a general understanding and use of Breeze project management or similar software.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of audit‑specific software, Thomson Reuters Advance Flow preferred.
