Tax Manager

A Financial Services Firm based in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced tax professional to join their team as Tax Manager.

• Prepare monthly and semiannual tax provisions and related accounting disclosures.
• Complete Forms 1120 and 1065 for entities across a range of business structures and products within an energy-focused business platform.
• Support reporting and analysis related to the effective tax rate (ETR), deferred tax balances, and cash flow impacts.
• Evaluate technical tax accounting positions for various entities and transactions.
• Analyze the accounting and cash flow implications of tax law and regulatory changes on group results.
• Assist in compiling data, forecasts, and analytical materials for Treasury and Transactions teams in connection with potential reorganizations and strategic transactions, while gathering required information for ETR forecasting and reporting.
• Manage tax compliance processes, including assessing tax positions and monitoring how they reverse in future reporting periods.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1120 and 1065.
• Ideal candidate will have a public accounting tax background; candidates with industry experience will also be considered.
• Solid understanding of federal and state corporate and partnership tax compliance.
• Ability to analyze tax positions and apply technical guidance to business transactions.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
