Overview
We are seeking an Equity Middle Office Associate to join our dynamic team at Cantor Fitzgerald Securities. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the daily operations of our institutional equity trading business. Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate trade processing, seamless front-to-back operational flow, and effective communication with traders, sales teams, and external counter parties. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with front-office teams, gain exposure to a wide range of equity products, and develop a strong foundation for your career within our firm.
Responsibilities- Support front-to-back trade flow processing, including trade breaks, allocations, and settlement issues.
- Liaise with traders, sales, and counter parties to ensure accurate trade capture and timely discrepancy resolution.
- Monitor daily trading activity across domestic and international markets for equities, options, and ETFs.
- Assist with operational aspects of ADR conversions, prefer reds, DMA, and FX transactions.
- Provide support for DTC/NSCC settlement processing and collaborate with clearing teams to manage exceptions.
- Gain exposure to corporate actions and their impact on equity positions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Middle Office.
- Offer ad hoc business support to trading desks and senior management as required.
- Maintain a strong understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with traders, sales, and clients.
- 2-4 years of experience in equity operations, middle office, or trade support.
- Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
- Familiarity with DTC/NSCC processing is mandatory.
- Knowledge of corporate actions is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with comfort in a fast-paced environment.
- FINRA Series 7 or 99 license is required (or willingness to obtain).
- Bachelor's degree is essential (finance, economics, accounting, or related field preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
