Associate, Equity Middle Office

Overview

We are seeking an Equity Middle Office Associate to join our dynamic team at Cantor Fitzgerald Securities. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the daily operations of our institutional equity trading business. Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate trade processing, seamless front-to-back operational flow, and effective communication with traders, sales teams, and external counter parties. • Support front-to-back trade flow processing, including trade breaks, allocations, and settlement issues.
• Liaise with traders, sales, and counter parties to ensure accurate trade capture and timely discrepancy resolution.
• Monitor daily trading activity across domestic and international markets for equities, options, and ETFs.
• Assist with operational aspects of ADR conversions, prefer reds, DMA, and FX transactions.
• Provide support for DTC/NSCC settlement processing and collaborate with clearing teams to manage exceptions.
• Gain exposure to corporate actions and their impact on equity positions.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Middle Office.
• Offer ad hoc business support to trading desks and senior management as required.
• Maintain a strong understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with traders, sales, and clients.

• 2-4 years of experience in equity operations, middle office, or trade support.
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
• Familiarity with DTC/NSCC processing is mandatory.
• Knowledge of corporate actions is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with comfort in a fast-paced environment.
• FINRA Series 7 or 99 license is required (or willingness to obtain).
• Bachelor's degree is essential (finance, economics, accounting, or related field preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
