The Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in facilitating loan settlements, ensuring accurate payment processing, and timely cash reconciliation. This role requires close collaboration with multiple teams and external counter parties to guarantee successful and timely settlements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about building a career in financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Process and support the settlement of diverse loan transactions, including syndicated, agency, and whole loans.
  • Reconcile incoming and outgoing cash flows to ensure accurate and timely settlements.
  • Investigate payment discrepancies and communicate with Front Office teams for issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with Client Onboarding to maintain accurate payment instructions.
  • Partner with Cash Management to confirm the accuracy and timeliness of payment settlements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to loan settlements.
  • Support process improvements and assist with ad hoc operational tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures during settlement processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations impacting loan settlements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of financial operations, payments, or reconciliations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work in the office four days per week in Jacksonville, FL.
  • Internship or coursework related to finance, banking, or operations is advantageous.
  • Interest in loan products, capital markets, or financial services is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
