Accounting Manager- Jacksonville, FL

Overview

Vaco is hiring for a global financial technology organization that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support accounting operations for a large–scale software and services business unit with significant annual revenue. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment supporting innovative solutions that serve clients across multiple industries and markets.

• Lead the monthly revenue accounting close process for the assigned business unit
• Review and analyze financial statements, including income statement and balance sheet
• Ensure accurate accounting treatment of complex revenue arrangements in alignment with applicable accounting standards and internal guidance
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Partner with FP&A to evaluate financial performance and assess impacts on forecasts
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors and support audit processes, including SOX compliance efforts
• Contribute to key initiatives such as system implementations, process improvements, and integration of acquisitions

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in public accounting (large firm) or multinational corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., ERP platforms) and reporting tools
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and its application in complex organizational structures
• Proven ability to manage processes, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
• Effective leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and team collaboration
• Strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and support decision‑making processes
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
• Solid understanding of internal controls and financial systems

Salary range for this role depends on experience, qualifications, and location. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as participation in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
