Personal Banker Associate I – Jacksonville, FL
The role will be a Retail Personal Banker I, following a 4‑8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. Candidates will become fully certified to serve in the Retail Personal Banker family after completion, demonstrating skills necessary for the role.
Key Responsibilities- Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using value proposition.
- Utilize CAMP and approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
- Focus on cross‑selling to existing customer base and engaging in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage onsite presentations, business sales calls, community financial literacy events, etc.
- Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) and refer customers appropriately.
- Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals and enhance year‑over‑year revenue growth measured by the Financial Center P&L.
- Provide guidance to CSRs regarding the sales and referral process.
- Maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor, professionalism, and ethical behavior at all times.
- Open and service the full range of Retail products in accordance with established procedures.
- Participate in consumer loan and bankcard process, own sourced loans from application through closing.
- Open/close Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager.
- Follow fraud and risk mitigation procedures and keep up to date on Retail policies.
- College degree or equivalent experience providing transferable skills.
- Experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Comfortable with sales activities designed to acquire new consumers and small business customers and cross‑sell to existing customers.
- Ability to perform advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information.
- Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures for sound judgment.
- Requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS.
None. (No supervisory responsibilities.)
Working ConditionsNormal office environment with computer screen use. Up to 10% travel within the affiliate for training and classroom sessions outside the affiliate.
