About the RoleThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team of the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast. In partnership with the CEO and Leadership Team, the CFO provides strategic financial leadership to advance the YMCA’s mission, strengthen organizational sustainability, and ensure the effective stewardship of the Association’s resources.
The CFO is responsible for the overall financial health and integrity of the Association, including financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, investments, risk management, internal controls, audit, and long-term financial planning. This leader translates financial information into meaningful insight that supports sound decision-making across a complex, multi-site organization.
The CFO builds strong partnerships with operational leaders, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

EssentialFunctions Lead Financial Strategy and Organizational Sustainability
- Partner with the CEO, Leadership Team, and Board of Directors to develop and implement financial strategies that support the Association's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term sustainability.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making, organizational growth, capital investments, and new business opportunities.
- Lead long-range financial planning, forecasting, scenario planning, and resource allocation.
- Help organizational leaders understand financial performance and make informed decisions that balance mission impact, growth, and financial sustainability.
- Identify financial opportunities and risks and develop proactive strategies to address them.
- Provide executive oversight of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash management, investments, and other core financial functions.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other information needed by the CEO, Leadership Team, and Board.
