Nonprofit Controller

Our non-profit client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Controller to join its executive leadership team. This individual will be responsible for leading the non-profit organization's financial strategy, driving operational efficiencies, and providing executive-level guidance that supports long-term growth and profitability.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced finance executive who enjoys both high-level strategic planning and hands-on financial leadership.

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead all accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team based on financial analysis and performance.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, treasury functions, and capital planning.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, tax filings, and internal controls.
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements to maximize profitability.
• Partner with department leaders to improve operational efficiency and support business growth initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Evaluate and improve financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility.
• Proven experience developing financial strategy and supporting organizational growth.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading finance teams and collaborating with executive leadership.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience with in a multi-entity organization is highly preferred.
• Background leading financial transformations, process improvements, or system implementations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
