Financial Manager, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Our non-profit client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Controller to join its executive leadership team. This individual will be responsible for leading the non-profit organization's financial strategy, driving operational efficiencies, and providing executive-level guidance that supports long-term growth and profitability.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced finance executive who enjoys both high-level strategic planning and hands-on financial leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead all accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team based on financial analysis and performance.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, treasury functions, and capital planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, tax filings, and internal controls.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements to maximize profitability.
- Partner with department leaders to improve operational efficiency and support business growth initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility.
- Proven experience developing financial strategy and supporting organizational growth.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience leading finance teams and collaborating with executive leadership.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with in a multi-entity organization is highly preferred.
- Background leading financial transformations, process improvements, or system implementations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
