The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, FL, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Moosehaven. Day-to-day tasks include managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate general ledger entries. The role will lead month-end and year-end close activities, coordinate audits, and maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The Finance Manager will analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations, support leadership with financial reporting, and collaborate with other departments to optimize cost control and resource allocation. This position also involves supervising finance staff, implementing process improvements, and maintaining strong internal controls.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with financial reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance in a corporate or non-profit environment.
- Skill in using accounting and ERP software, plus advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team and work collaboratively across departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, or membership-based organizations is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Jacksonville, FL, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all financial matters.
