Position Overview
Department:
Political Science & Public Administration.
Title:
Visiting Instructor of Political Science. Term: 9‑month non‑tenure, 4/4 undergraduate teaching load. Anticipated start date:
August 3, 2026.
Reports to:
Department Chair.
- Teach a full undergraduate course load in Political Science.
- Deliver instruction in American government, public law, international relations, or research methods as appropriate.
- No supervisory duties.
- Master’s degree in Political Science, Government, or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching large, in‑person sections of introductory courses in American government and/or international relations.
- Experience teaching upper‑division courses in American politics, public law, and/or research methods.
- Ability to supervise student internships or field experience.
- Earned Ph.D. in Political Science, Government, or related discipline by August 3, 2026.
