Job DescriptionThe CAG Support SME will provide senior-level strategic communications, executive advisory, and command-group support to the Space Launch Delta 45 Commander's Action Group (CAG). The position will primarily support development of strategic messaging, executive presentations, higher-headquarters reporting, speeches, scripts, and other senior-leader communication products. The successful candidate must be able to translate Commander intent, acquisition and mission priorities, organizational strategy, current events, and complex technical information into concise, decision-quality products for senior military and civilian audiences.
The SME will serve as the senior intellectual and communications resource within the contractor CAG team and will provide quality-control review and advisory support across the broader CAG workload. Contractor personnel provide advisory support and do not act as final Government approval or decision-making authority.
- Develop draft mission, vision, priority statements, strategic narratives, and command-level communication plans.
- Incorporate the Commander's strategic intent narrative into strategic and executive-level communication products.
- Develop and refine strategic PowerPoint presentations, online products, command briefing packages, handouts, and senior-leader decision materials.
- Develop and update recurring presentation packages in accordance with command briefing cycles and Government-directed timelines.
- Compose, integrate, edit, and quality-control recurring and ad hoc higher-headquarters reports on behalf of the command group.
- Coordinate with Delta staff, squadron leadership, and key stakeholders to gather and synthesize inputs for higher-headquarters and executive-level reporting.
- Draft speeches, informal remarks, ceremony scripts, recorded or virtual messages, talking points, and other senior-leader communications.
- Conduct research and analysis of current local, national, Department of the Air Force, U.S. Space Force, acquisition, and mission-related developments to tailor senior-leader messaging to intended audiences.
- Perform senior-level editorial and quality-control reviews of strategic communications, presentations, reports, and other CAG executive products.
- Support research, drafting, coordination, and quality review of CAG standard operating procedures and executive workflows.
Education: Master's degree or higher required in communications, public affairs, political science, business, management, public administration, national security, organizational leadership, or a closely related discipline.
Experience:Twelve (12) or more years of progressively responsible experience in strategic communications, executive support, military staff operations, organizational strategy, acquisition support, command-level support, public affairs, program management, or related disciplines. Demonstrated experience developing written and presentation products for General Officer, Flag Officer, Senior Executive Service, Program Executive Officer, or equivalent executive audiences. Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex organizational, acquisition, operational, and technical information into concise executive communications and decision-support products.
Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple organizations and resolving incomplete, competing, or conflicting stakeholder inputs.
Tools/Technical Proficiency:
Required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams; exceptional executive writing, editing, presentation-development, and briefing-product skills. Preferred
- Familiarity with Enterprise Task Management Software 2 (ETMS2), Task Management Tool (TMT), SIPR TMT, SharePoint, Government task-management systems, collaborative document environments, and executive correspondence workflows.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force acquisition experience, particularly within acquisition organizations, program offices, Program Executive Offices, Field Commands, or senior acquisition staffs
