This is an entry-level professional position with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Jacksonville, responsible for potable water compliance assistance and inspection activities. Duties include conducting inspections, reviewing permits, investigating complaints, and drafting compliance and enforcement documents for water facilities. The role requires knowledge of environmental sciences, technical report writing, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with facility operators and internal stakeholders.
Keyqualifications:
- At least 4 years of verifiable related experience (or post-secondary degree as substitute on year-for-year basis)
- Knowledge of environmental or natural sciences terminology, principles, and analytical techniques
- Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze, and interpret scientific or technical reports
- Ability to use personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to understand and apply environmental regulations, policies, and procedures
- Valid driver license and ability to travel
