Overview
The Brooks Rehabilitation Institute of Higher Learning is seeking Geriatric residents to join the Residency cohort. All residents are employed as full-time staff therapists within Brooks Rehabilitation while enrolled in the program. The yearlong training consists of three components of learning that include didactic/psychomotor classes, clinical mentoring, and directed learning activities. Clinical mentoring is the backbone of our program, and thus all residents will receive 150 hours of 1:1 mentoring while in the program.

Admissions RequirementsApplicants to the Brooks Geriatric Residency Program:
- Must graduate from a CAPTE accredited PT program.
- If you are a Non-US educated physical therapist, please contact us to determine if you meet the admission requirements.
- Must obtain a Florida PT license or temporary license by the second Friday in June.
- Must meet all eligibility requirements to be employed as a practicing Physical Therapist within Brooks Rehabilitation.
- Must demonstrate membership within the APTA.
- Applications are open for the Daytona and Jacksonville programs. An applicant can apply to one or both of these programs through RF-PTCAS.
