Overview

Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant II for the Age Well House Calls Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity that will travel to patients' homes in Jacksonville, FL to provide care. The Age Well Department serves patients 65+ and is growing rapidly. The Medical Assistant II will cross-train as front office staff to support them as needed.

This position requires CMA license as well as strong communication, interpersonal skills, and flexibility. Baptist Jacksonville is a Magnet™ designated hospital, the gold standard for excellence in patient care.

• Provides nursing assistance to physician.
• Obtains vital signs.
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
• Responsible for telephone triage and patient education.
• Maintains medical documentation.
• Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
• Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
• Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas.

Education Required:

High School Diploma/GED

• Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
