Medical Assistant
Simonsen & Madderm Pediatric ENT, a Division of FPA is seeking a Medical Scribe to join their busy practice.
Hours:
8:30am - 5:30pm

- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred Minimum 1+ years working as a medical Scribe in a medical practice.
- Will consider medical student looking for clinical hours (full time).
- Perform duties under supervision of physician or physician assistant.
- Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature and document all information in patient’s chart.
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant.
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and Physician Assistant.
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.).
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills including composure, diplomacy, and the ability to act with a diverse patient population.
- Manage confidential employee information in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effectively time‑manage job responsibilities; organize workflow and documentation.
- Respond to medical emergencies and act immediately.
- Other duties assigned by Practice and Clinical area.
- Serve as brand representative for FPA by embracing the Company culture and mission statement, core values and standards of conduct.
