Actalent Health & Medical is seeking qualified Medical Assistants for permanent roles currently open in the Jacksonville area!

Responsibilities

+ Perform laboratory testing procedures and report results to a healthcare clinician.

+ Alert healthcare clinician of any critical or out-of-range values and document critical reports.

+ Perform phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

+ Prepare specimens for reference lab send-outs, including labeling, resulting, and billing information.

+ Perform and document daily/weekly/monthly quality control, including instrument maintenance.

+ Perform and document patient intake vitals, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate; notify clinician of any abnormal findings.

+ Interview patients based on age appropriateness and/or specialty needs, accurately document and update medical records.

+ Obtain necessary medical records, consultation notes, hospital inpatient and/or ED discharge records, diagnostic and laboratory results for clinician review, and treatment follow-up as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

+ Medical Assistant Certification (preferred, not required)

+ 2+ years of experience in specialty care office

+ 2+ years of patient care experience

+ Pediatric experience preferred

+ Bilingual (fluent in Spanish) highly desired, not required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34000.00 - $47000.00/yr.
