Sign‑On Bonus
- $500 sign‑on bonus for eligible candidates**
Baptist MD Anderson is currently hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our Medical Oncology team. This is a PRN opportunity. This position is ideal for candidates who are available 3–4 days per week and want to make a difference while maintaining a flexible work schedule. Shifts will be between Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This position is required to travel to BMDA Downtown, BMDA South and BMDA Clay as needed.
MedicalAssistant (MA), Outpatient Oncology
– Job Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals
- Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas

Education RequiredHigh School Diploma/GED
Education PreferredAssociate's Degree
Experience- 2 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
