Baptist Health is hiring Medical Assistants to join our Float Pool, supporting both Primary Care and Specialty Clinics across the region. With over 200 patient access points, including 50+ primary care offices and a wide range of specialty practices—Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Behavioral Health, Rheumatology, Urology, and more—Baptist Health offers a dynamic and supportive environment for your career growth.
As a Medical Assistant, You Will Be Responsible For:
- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
Education Required
High School Diploma/GED
Education Preferred
Associate's Degree
Experience
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience Preferred
- 2 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in a physician’s office—Primary Care or Specialty Clinics Preferred
- Ability to work across multiple locations with flexibility
- Strong communication and organizational skills
License and Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
