Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant II for the Age Well Department at our San Marco clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity that will work a Monday-Friday at Baptist Age Well Center for Health. The Age Well Department is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support their team. Age Well services patients 65+ and is growing rapidly at Baptist!
The Certified Medical Assistant will cross train as a front office staff to support them as needed. This position requires a candidate to have their CMA license as well as strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and flexibility. Job Responsibilities- Provides nursing assistance to physician.
- Obtains vital signs.
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education.
- Maintains medical documentation.
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician.
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
- Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate's Degree
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
