Medical Assistant | Oncology Radiation

Job Summary

A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.

Working hours:

8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Full‑time position.

  Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED. Employees hired on or after February 15, 2018 must graduate from an approved medical assistant program.
• Necessary
  
  Skills:
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health‑care fields
  • Skilled in conflict resolution
  • Ability to use computers
• Required Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  • Employees hired on or after August 1, 2021 must obtain medical assistant certification within six months of hire or transfer into the position
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Required Experience:
  
  Less than one year of medical assistant experience
• Preferred Experience:
  
  One (1) year of medical assistant experience
