Educational Requirements
:
Must have Medical Assistant Certification

• Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
• Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
• Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing
• Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Distribute prescribed medications
• Effective communication skills

• At least 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting
• Completed and passed a medical assistant program
• Ability to take and read accurate blood pressures
• Experience distributing prescribed medications to patients
• Experience interviewing patients to obtain complete medical histories
• Experience in phlebotomy administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
• Ability to speak and understand English and communicate effectively
