Short Description
FL-DOH-Duval County-Medical Assistants - Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
Complete DescriptionPay Rate: *** /hr /
Vendor Rate: *** /hr
Work Environment: Open workstation and clinical area
Dress Code: Scrubs, preferably Navy Blue
Computer Software: Health Management System (HMS), Microsoft Office
Educational Requirements: Must have Medical Assistant Certification
Candidate Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
- Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing
- Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Distribute prescribed medications
- Effective communication skills
- At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting
- Completed and passed a medical assistant program
- Skilled at taking and reading accurate blood pressures
- Experience distributing prescribed medications to patients
- Experience interviewing patients to obtain complete medical histories
- Experience in phlebotomy, administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
- Ability to speak and understand English and communicate effectively
Agency Interview Type: Either Webcam Interview or In Person
