Baptist Health is currently looking for a Nutrition Coordinator to join our Patient Food Service team at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a PRN opportunity working 12‑hour shifts as needed for department coverage.

Nutrition Coordinators are part of the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction goals by ensuring meals are accurate, delivered at the right time and temperature. They are assigned units in a healthcare facility and provide services that include helping patients make menu selections; assembly, delivery, and retrieval of meal trays.

• Assist patients in understanding their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions. Obtain preferences and modify tray identifiers accordingly.
• Support and promote patient satisfaction and participate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality care and services to patients.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences, or when a patient inquires about additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner. Deliver and retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Less than 1 year of Customer Service experience required.
