Overview
Coastal Orthopedic Offices is seeking a skilled and motivated X-Ray Technician (Full-Time) to support our physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient safety, high-quality imaging, and efficient clinical operations.
Responsibilities- Operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to assist physicians with diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries and conditions.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining processes and positioning patients appropriately.
- Ensure patient, self, and staff safety by adhering to all radiation protection and safety protocols.
- Perform radiographic procedures according to established clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Select appropriate technical factors and adjust radiographic controls to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Position patients accurately and obtain X-rays of specific anatomical areas as ordered by physicians.
- Review images for clarity and accuracy; repeat imaging when necessary to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Process and distribute radiographic images to physicians and appropriate medical staff in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records, daily logs, and required reports.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure equipment compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.
- Clean, maintain, and perform minor adjustments to radiographic equipment; report equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Maintain radiographic supplies and inventory; order supplies as necessary.
- Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Comply with all federal, state, and organizational safety and regulatory requirements.
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited X-ray technician program.
- One to three years of experience as an X-ray Technician, preferably in a medical practice or orthopedic setting.
- ARRT certification and state licensure required (or eligible, per state regulations).
Job Specifications (Education/Licensure/Certification s):
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required, higher education in health care preferred, active Florida RT or BMO license.
Job
Experience:
Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a BMO or RT.
