Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in our Inpatient Behavioral Health unit at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a PRN Weekends shift opportunity. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), you will assess psychosocial needs and provide services that enhance patient functioning, emotional well‑being and continued access to services and resources in the community. Overall, this LMHC contributes to the care of patients by addressing their social and emotional needs, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy within a behavioral health setting.

• Assess psychosocial needs and provide services that enhance patient functioning, emotional well‑being and continued access to services and resources in the community.
• Facilitate group and individual therapies on an inpatient behavioral health unit.
• Complete documentation as required for regulatory purposes (Baker Act, clinical documentation).
• Assist with safety planning.

Master's Degree.

Doctorate.

• 3-5 Years Experience in Mental Health field.
• 1-2 years Individual Counseling Experience.
• 1-2 years Group Counseling Experience.
• 1-2 years Assessment and Diagnostic Experience.
• Less than 1 year Case Management Experience.

• Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
