Clinical Nutrition Manager
Job Purpose:
Responsible for resident consultation and nutritional education. Responsible for approving resident menus. Is a part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare workers. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Dietitian with at least one year experience. Experience working with eating disorder patients is required.
- Proficient/strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to navigate EMR systems.
- Must be able to function independently and communicate effectively with staff and external contacts. Must have highly developed organizational and planning and the ability to work effectively with others. Proven professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication. Must have proven record of great customer service and ability to assist multiple people professionally, effectively, and efficiently.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or similarly related field.
- Understands HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to multi-taskand prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of EMR and documentation guidelines.
- Proficient planning, timemanagementand decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks,handles compliance issues first. Able to work under tight project deadlines, handles stress appropriately. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible,organized and function under stressful situations.
- Demonstrates excellent conflict resolution skills; especially the ability to deescalate situations in an empathetic,equitable and professional manner.
- Ability to maintain control and respond calmly and appropriately in a crisis situation.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to set appropriate professional boundaries and avoids entering into dual relationships.
- Demonstrates basic understanding of the disease concept of addiction and the 12 Step Program.
- Prioritizes required tasks and work responsibilities to ensure optimum quality of care.
