Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full‑Time Days Referrals Coordinator to join our Outpatient Rehab Patient Access Department in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, FL. This position will be located at Wolfson Children’s South Rehab Services Clinic (14534 Old St. Augustine Road, MOB 3, Suite 3300, Jacksonville, FL 32258).
Shift Details:Monday through Thursday 8:45 am – 6:15 pm. Friday is 8:30am

The Referral Coordinator will be interacting with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement. The employee will be responsible for insurance eligibility and obtaining authorizations for BPC, BPE, Baptist Specialty Offices and Imaging. The expectation is to have completed around 30-50 authorizations in a day. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills.
The candidate must be able to accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier. Patients should be registered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner which reflects the core values of Baptist Health.
- Providing referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
- Scheduling appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling.
