Property Ambassador - Island Oaks RV Resort

Join Our Team!

Our mission as Grounds Ambassadors is to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where guests can relax, have fun, and make lasting memories. As a Grounds Ambassador, you are the eyes and ears of the resort-the friendly face guests rely on and the team member who helps protect the property's appearance, safety, and functionality. From a facilities perspective, you support day-to-day site readiness, common-area upkeep, and fast-response service that keeps the resort operating smoothly.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being outdoors, and thrives on variety. Every day brings something new-turning RV sites, refreshing amenities, responding to guest requests, and proactively addressing cleanliness and safety issues before they become problems. You'll partner closely with Maintenance/Facilities, Housekeeping, and Guest Services to keep the resort guest-ready during peak arrival/departure times and high-occupancy weekends.

You'll work outdoors in all weather conditions, walking the property for extended periods and completing physical tasks that support resort facilities-trash and debris removal, light cleaning, resetting guest‑use features (grills/fire pits), reporting maintenance issues, and helping ensure roads, pathways, and amenity areas are safe and presentable.

Position Summary

As a Grounds Ambassador, you support resort facilities operations by maintaining site readiness, cleanliness, and safety across an RV camping resort while serving as an on‑site hospitality specialist. You complete continuous property rounds, provide valet‑style trash service, reset RV sites and guest‑use amenities, and promptly report hazards or maintenance needs. In collaboration with Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Maintenance/Facilities, you also help guide guests throughout their stay-answering questions, assisting with arrivals when needed, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide valet‑style trash service and routine waste runs, keeping guest areas clean, odor‑free, and inviting; properly use trash compactor/dumpster areas per safety guidelines
  • Maintain overall resort cleanliness by collecting litter, clearing debris, and monitoring curb appeal across sites, roadways, landscaping edges, and amenity zones
  • Turn RV sites during departures/arrivals: remove trash, rake/spot‑sweep pads, check fire pit/grill condition, reset picnic tables, and ensure the site looks guest‑ready
  • Clean and maintain dog parks and pet stations (waste bag dispensers, receptacles, water stations as applicable) to ensure a safe and pleasant environment
  • Ensure grills and fire pits are cleaned, cooled, stocked, and ready for the next guest; report damage or missing components and remove hazards immediately
  • Assist with propane exchanges/refills (as assigned) and set up/refresh guest‑use amenities (chairs, games, shade umbrellas, event equipment) based on daily needs
  • Monitor roads and pathways for safety issues (spills, potholes, trip hazards, low lighting, standing water) and report work orders to Facilities/Maintenance
  • Support amenity‑area readiness by checking high‑traffic locations (pool deck, restrooms, laundry, lakefront, playground, pavilion) for cleanliness, supply levels, and basic functionality
  • Operate basic grounds equipment safely (leaf blowers, pressure washer, weed eater, hand tools) and follow PPE and chemical‑handling expectations when applicable
  • Monitor speeds throughout the resort to promote a safe environment for all guests (vehicles, golf carts, e‑bikes, scooters, etc.); address concerns respectfully and elevate repeat issues per policy
  • Actively observe the park to identify and address safety concerns or guest needs; respond quickly to spills, broken glass, and other immediate hazards
  • Serve as a visible,…
