The Independent Contractor Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and maintaining a steady pipeline of qualified Independent Contractors (ICs) to support operational needs across multiple markets. This role requires a proactive, high-volume recruiter with experience in the Independent Contractor model, preferably within the big and bulky delivery space with a strong understanding of contractor compliance, and the ability to build lasting relationships with business leaders and prospective IC partners.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and onboard Independent Contractors for delivery and logistics operations in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified Independent Contractors to meet market-specific needs and growth projections.
- Partner with local market leaders and operations managers to forecast capacity needs and address recruitment gaps.
- Ensure all Independent Contractors meet compliance requirements, including insurance, background checks, and equipment standards.
- Track recruitment activity, conversion rates, and onboarding milestones.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Fleet, and Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate records within applicant tracking systems and recruitment dashboards.
- Conduct exit interviews for offboarded Independent Contractors to inform and enhance retention strategies.
- Monitor and report on Independent Contractor capacity trends and recommend actions as needed.
- Assist with recruitment marketing campaigns, events, and external vendor partnerships.

Education & Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-volume recruiting; logistics or contractor recruiting experience strongly preferred – preferably in the final mile/home delivery industries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Knowledge of independent contractor (1099) model and relevant compliance standards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple markets and deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in recruitment platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Open Force (Plus)
- Bilingual a plus (especially Spanish)
- Ability to work non-traditional hours if necessary
