The Role
AXS is seeking an IT Specialist I to execute support activities related to IT Operations, including event support, on-site setup, troubleshooting networks, and management of AXS computer systems (hardware and software) at various festivals. Provides support to clients and end users for hardware, software, and other resources to meet company requirements. Interfaces with Client Support, Implementation, and Account Management and other functional areas within the organization.
WhatWill You Do?
- Provide technical support to clients, assisting with software, hardware, and network-related issues, and ensure timely and effective resolution of IT/Operations support requests.
- Set up equipment for clients and performers, ensuring proper installation of computers, access control systems, switches, and appropriate software.
- Provide remote hands assistance as requested by customers.
- Regularly communicate with cross-functional teams to address operational requirements for hardware and event logistics.
- Manage inventory, maintain stock levels, oversee shipments, keep records, and identify discrepancies.
- Investigate, resolve, and implement improvements to procedures and applications.
- Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions, both verbally and in writing.
- Provide technical support for smaller projects, operations, and special live events.
- Engage in problem-solving, monitoring, and installation of network gear, access control, hardware and software.
- 1+ years of experience in an IT support position or related role
- AA/AS or BA/BS degree in information technology or related technical field
- Technical and operational skills in installation, troubleshooting, and support of networking and workstation hardware on client premises
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Server, and Apple iOS
- Working knowledge of networking (OSI layers, TCP/IP) and WAN devices, circuits, cabling, and telephonic and/or Wi-Fi technology
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within desk-side and server environments
- Self-motivated, capable of troubleshooting, and able to work independently and in a team
- Effective communication with clients to identify needs and evaluate technical solutions
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and time constraints
- Willingness to work off-hours, on-call, and weekends as necessary
- Ability to lift, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs during events
- Willingness to travel up to 60% as part of this IT role
Pay Scale: $24.00 - $29.15
Bonus: This position is ineligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
