Responsibilities- Stay current on technology changes and remain a subject matter expert on best practices for Salesforce development, including packaging strategies, App Exchange security review requirements, Salesforce DX, and OEM / Trialforce
- Part of your time will be spent keeping up to date on the latest Salesforce technologies like Agent Force, Data 360 (Data Cloud), Platform Events, LWC, CRM Analytics, Platform Cache, and Shield
- Design and develop software solutions to fulfill client needs, that are secure, scalable, and maintainable
- Collaborate with business users/clients to understand their business objectives and serve as a subject matter expert on the Salesforce platform and ISV ecosystem
- Lead all members of a project in implementing your design architecture, including review of development artifacts to ensure the solution adheres to best practices
- Design the object model adhering to business processes, sharing model, reporting needs, and integrations
- Make expert choices on architectural design, such as when to use person accounts vs. standard account-contact relationships and when to use master-detail vs. lookup relationships
- Provide a delivery framework that ensures quality and success. Review the code written by the developer and make sure that it follows best practices and scales well
- Assist the sales team to design and estimate solution costs for clients
- Provide "Level of Effort" (LOE) estimates including a project timeline and the right team role mix
- Analyze customer’s product or development process to identify problems and formulate software engineering solutions
- Utilize Apex enterprise patterns for maximum scalability and least risk of performance constraints of the Salesforce platform
- Configure OAuth and SSO integrations between Salesforce and customer products
- Review technical architecture designs from other Technical Architects and provide validation and feedback
- Practice good development life cycle, including solid coding patterns, use of source control, proper use of test methods, and self-testing work
- Be responsive to requests from project members and management
- Expert with all major Salesforce technologies including Licensing models, Declarative configuration (flow, workflow), Platform security features, Enterprise Apex Patterns, SOQL &SOSL, all APIs and common integration patterns, Object modeling, SSO/OAuth technologies and flows, Reporting/Analytics Cloud, Integration with JavaScript frameworks, Experience Cloud, and mobile platforms and deployment patterns
- Fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- 4+ years coding in LWC/Apex/VF/Aura, 5+ years with other OOP platforms (preference to cloud deployments)
- 7+ years Salesforce platform experience, 5+ years in a lead design / architecture role
- Salesforce Certified Developer and Platform Developer 2 required (or Platform Developer 2 and 1 or more Designer certification required)
- Solid experience with JavaScript and CSS
- SQL experience on more than one major database platform
- Java script toolkits Angular, React, jQuery, etc
- Strong understanding of architectural design patterns including SOA, SOC, layering, DRY, object-oriented design patterns, common integration patterns, etc
- Expert use of VSCode, Intelli
