Network Security Engineer

Overview

Primarily with Network Security products from different vendors like Fortinet, Akamai WAF. confirm, determine, and/or troubleshoot traffic flows, security implementation and configurations etc. Network Security Services include daily maintenance and operations of multiple customers’ network security infrastructure. The successful candidate will be required to troubleshoot firewall traffic flows, as well as maintain accurate documentation of network security products, support activities and processes.

The candidate will also be required to work independently and remotely when troubleshooting and must also can solve problems with minimal client input and ability to escalate when solution is not readily apparent.

• Responsible for the management of Proxy, Forti SASE & Akamai.

• Implement and configure Forti
  
  SASE components including ZTNA, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS).
• Integrate Forti
  
  SASE with existing network and security infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
• Monitor Forti
  
  SASE performance and security events using centralized management tools.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, latency, and security issues for remote users.
• Maintain high-performance, low-latency access for users on any device.
• Regularly update configurations and policies to align with evolving security needs.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with network and security teams to support hybrid workforce requirements.
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.

• Strong understanding of ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, and DLP concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS security.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions, especially Forti
  
  SASE and Forti Gate.
• Networking Knowledge:
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPN technologies, DNS, and routing protocols.
• Experience with SD-WAN and secure remote access solutions.
• Security
  
  Skills:
• Knowledge of threat detection, compliance frameworks, and secure access principles.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Fortinet NSE Level 4 or higher.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., CCSP, AWS Security Specialty).
• Experience:
• 4
  -6 years in network security or cloud security roles.
• Prior experience implementing SASE or similar cloud-delivered security solutions.

Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 a year
