Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a financial services organization, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Assurance Manager in Jacksonville, FL to support the delivery of high-quality technology products and services.
Summary:
This role ensures IT solutions-spanning software, hardware, networking, security, and business processes-are implemented in a way that meets business expectations and delivers exceptional value to internal and external users. The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee test planning, automation initiatives, and release quality across software development teams while working closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
- Lead testing efforts for software releases, including peer reviews, test case assignments, and training for QA Analysts
- Manage QA team members and workloads while providing consistent coaching, direction, and performance feedback
- Evaluate systems, processes, and operations for compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and documented procedures
- Prioritize testing work queues to meet deadlines and align with business needs
- Oversee QA activities within the Encompass LOS environment and related systems, applying strong knowledge of mortgage processes and end-user experience
- Participate in Agile ceremonies-story grooming, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives-to clarify acceptance criteria and proactively identify testing dependencies
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira or Azure Dev Ops Boards, ensuring timely resolution
- Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing areas
- Collaborate with system engineers and developers to ensure best practices and consistent quality across project work
- Implement and maintain QA metrics and reporting to communicate release readiness and overall product quality

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering;
Or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience - Certification from a Professional Organization specific to Software Testing, or Quality Assurance, preferred
- Previous experience (3+ years) of Quality Assurance Testing
- Previous management experience
- Previous experience (3+ years) in Mortgage Technologies such as Encompass, Empower, MSP, Land Gorilla, nCino Mortgage Suite, Lending Pad, Floify, etc. will be a plus
- Understanding of contemporary quality management principles and practices and the ability to apply them to a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced business environment
- Mortgage Originations and Servicing industry and systems experience
- Knowledge of methodologies such as SDLC, Agile or Total Quality Management
- Knowledge of functionality, compatibility, usability, reliability, exploration, load/stress testing practices
- Previous work in an Agile SCRUM environment is desirable
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
