Job Title: SRE Engineer

Additional Locations: Cary, NC / Jacksonville, FL / New York, NY (On‑site)

Employment Type: Full‑time (FTE)

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems on Google Cloud Platform.
• Apply strong engineering fundamentals, automation, IaC, and observability practices to reduce toil.

• Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and Critical User Journeys based on non‑functional requirements.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Git Hub, and containerized workloads.
• Develop automation, tooling, and operational workflows to reduce manual processes and overhead.
• Implement and support Kubernetes‑based container orchestration environments.
• Create and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability improvements.
• Collaborate with development and platform teams to improve reliability, performance, and service health.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, including code reviews and documentation.
• Work within ITSM processes to ensure stable and compliant operations.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in Terraform, Git Hub, Docker, and related IaC/tooling ecosystems.
• Advanced scripting skills using Bash, Power Shell, Python, or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Demonstrated experience reducing TOIL through automation and engineering solutions.
• Good knowledge of SCM tools including Git, Git Hub, and code quality tools like Sonar Qube.
• Working knowledge of ITSM concepts and operational processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with a proactive mindset.
