As a Field Service Technician V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will use your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn‑key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
QualificationsYou Must Have:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 10 years of relevant experience and 2 years of experience in a lead role
A higher‑level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Advanced experience with the practical application of troubleshooting techniques
Advanced electrical wiring skills
Prior experience with Linux and Java
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of subordinates
Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+ Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
