Position: Production / Technical Support (NC, FL, or AZ) (2nd Shift)

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Production / Technical Support (NC, FL, or AZ) (2nd Shift) to join their team. As a Production / Technical Support (NC, FL, or AZ) (2nd Shift), you will be part of the Release and Environment Management team supporting critical applications within the CTO-GBAMT payment domain. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a strong commitment to automation and process improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

:
Production / Technical Support (2nd Shift).
Location
:
Charlotte, NC / Jacksonville, FL / Chandler, AZ.
Position type
: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/conversion.
Pay rate
: $40‑$44/hr on W2.

Shift
: 2nd shift (2 pm – 10 pm EST), weekend work 1x/month to support Asia team.

Job Description

Join the Release and Environment Management team for critical CTO-GBAMT payment applications. Focus on change coordination, stakeholder management, deployment automation, CI/CD best practices, and ITIL‑compliant releases into non‑prod/prod environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare/publish yearly release plans; align upstream/downstream teams.
  • Manage communications for incidents, changes, and service requests.
  • Coordinate TI teams for web admin/MQ/database changes.
  • Hands‑on with payments systems; enforce access controls and GIS risk compliance.
  • Identify TOM vulnerabilities; manage release risks, schedules, and audits.
  • Conduct readiness reviews, produce run books/plans, lead go‑lives.
  • Maintain release schedules, repositories, and CAB participation.
  • Drive process improvements and change freeze coordination.
Required Skills / Experience
  • Release orchestration tools (e.g., XL Release / Cutover).
  • Large‑scale multi‑tiered releases; release/project management.
  • Dev Ops (Ansible, JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory).
  • Middleware (JBOSS, Web Sphere, Web Logic); environment provisioning/CD.
  • SDLC (Java apps); monitoring tools; workflow documentation.
  • Strong communication/organization; flexible scheduling; stakeholder coordination.
  • Escalation awareness; quick learner.
Desired Skills
  • Python/Java/shell/Groovy/Scala.
  • Agile; UNIX/Linux;
    Oracle SQL/IBM MQ/Connect Direct/Web Sphere.
  • Load balancing/networking; ITIL v3 Intermediate.
  • BFSI domain experience.
