A top manufacturing leader with global ties in the defense and maritime sector is seeking an experienced Information Technology & Facility Security Officer to lead all Information Technology operations and oversee industrial security programs across multiple domestic and international locations. This position will be located in the greater Jacksonville, FL area.

This strategic leadership role is pivotal in supporting our operational and security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, safeguarding classified sensitive information, and maintaining reliable, scalable cybersecurity and IT systems. This position will also partner closely with operational leadership to support cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure modernization, regulatory compliance, and long-term technology planning in a government contracting environment. This position will have direct reports.

Essential

Functions Information Technology
  • Oversee all IT systems, infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, hardware, and software
  • Lead technology initiatives, system upgrades, modernization efforts, and disaster recovery planning
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners
  • Administer system access controls, onboarding/offboarding processes, and user support functions
  • Support secure communications and information systems in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Coordinate IT support activities across multiple facilities and remote locations
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets related to IT systems, equipment, and services
  • Provide strategic guidance regarding technology growth, scalability, and operational efficiencies
  • Other duties as assigned
Security & Compliance
  • Serve as a liaison with government security representatives and support external audits or assessments
  • Maintain personnel security clearance processes and documentation using DISS and NISS
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of sensitive and classified materials
  • Conduct security training, briefings, inspections, and incident reporting activities across all facilities
  • Support compliance initiatives related to insider threats, export controls, and operational security
  • Implement and maintain industrial security programs in support of compliance requirements
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements related to security compliance initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and classified information
  • Ability to lead IT operations within a multi-site, regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network administration, infrastructure management, and access control systems
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
  • Must adhere to policies established by the company and have high values for safety awareness
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; employee recognition and discipline; resolving employee concerns; and developing employees with the skills, competencies, and values needed to achieve Company goals.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience supporting security compliance programs within government contracting or regulated industries is required
  • Industry certifications related to cybersecurity or information systems management, knowledge of federal contracting compliance frameworks and export control regulations and a background within defense, maritime, manufacturing, or industrial environments is preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required
