Principal Enterprise Architect

Responsibilities- Design and develop complex strategic, enterprise‑scale architectural systems and products.
- Act as the highest‑level technical expert, addressing system, software, integration, and compatibility issues, and reviewing major business application and technology initiatives.
- Create architectural baselines for solutions, set required middleware and workflow, and obtain buy‑in from business and technology groups.
- Lead, mentor, and coach enterprise architects, junior architects, and internal team members.
- Lead by example, bring transparency, communicate effectively, and drive win‑win results.
- Coordinate enterprise applications and solutions direction, workflow, systems, and network management to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Consult leadership on long‑range strategic planning activities and serve as a prime spokesperson in the professional field of expertise.
- Manage development and implementation of department projects, serving as project manager when needed.
- Act as a lead for the technology working groups and center of excellence.
- Maintain a risk‑aware culture by proactively identifying, assessing, and reporting risks within the domain of work.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices and extensive experience implementing EA practices within large enterprises.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture domains, including application, information, business, and infrastructure architecture.
- Strong distributed and object‑oriented background; expertise in architecting and building enterprise‑scale distributed systems.
- Broad knowledge of current IT trends and developments.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops processes and financial institutions.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful/Web APIs, relational databases, and front‑end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or combination of education and experience; master’s degree preferred.
- 12+ years of directly related architecture experience.
