About the Role
Join a dynamic team as a Field Engineer 3, serving as a critical onsite resource for computer hardware and software support. In this role, you'll directly impact end-user productivity by installing, diagnosing, and maintaining desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to build hands-on technical expertise and advance in the IT support field.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices at customer sites
- Perform disk replacements and provide maintenance on enterprise storage products
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex cases as needed
- Test, certify, and optimize client-approved applications, networks, and devices
- Execute installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) for hardware and software
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout service delivery transactions
- Ensure timely and accurate ticket updates, meeting client-specific SLAs
- Maintain professionalism in appearance, communication, and demeanor
Required Skills and Experience
- 1-3 years' experience in computer support roles
- Proficiency in hardware/software troubleshooting and basic networking
- Strong organizational skills and a reliable work ethic
- Ability to follow scripts and standard methods, while applying independent problem-solving for escalated issues
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise storage maintenance
- Familiarity with re-imaging and optimizing PCs/laptops
- Exposure to server product support
- Knowledge of legacy hardware and software
