Duration: 6 months
Role: Itron Headend Systems Consultant
- act as a technical specialist for itron headend systems including mv90, temetra, fcs, and utility iq
- support end-to-end amr/ami metering operations and data flows
- manage meter lifecycle including onboarding, configuration, and maintenance
- collaborate with utility, billing, and analytics teams for seamless integration
- ensure accurate and timely meter data collection and processing
- monitor and optimize batch jobs and system performance
- provide production support and troubleshooting for metering systems
- work with cross-functional teams on integration with mdms, cis, and oms systems
- analyze system logs, reports, and data anomalies
- contribute to continuous improvement of metering and billing processes
- configure and maintain itron headend systems including mv90, temetra, fcs, and utility iq
- manage meter configurations, templates, and profiles for electric, gas, and water meters
- support meter onboarding, commissioning, and lifecycle changes
- configure upload and download mechanisms for meter and device communication
- manage meter read schedules, polling strategies, and collection windows
- configure and monitor batch jobs for interval data, register reads, and event processing
- troubleshoot issues related to missing reads, delayed data, and anomalies
- analyze logs, batch outputs, and system reports for issue resolution
- support integration with mdms, cis/billing systems, and outage management systems
- ensure accurate data flow from meters to billing systems
- assist in validation, settlement, and billing cycle processes
- maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and issue resolutions
- strong hands-on experience with itron systems such as mv90, temetra, fcs, and utility iq
- deep understanding of meter configuration and template management
- knowledge of interval, register, and event data structures
- experience with batch job scheduling and execution
- familiarity with data upload and download mechanisms
- experience working in ami/amr metering environments
- strong sql querying and unix command-line skills
- ability to troubleshoot data collection and processing issues
- knowledge of integration with mdms, cis, and oms systems
- strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- effective communication and stakeholder interaction
