The Technology Consulting practice works with clients to analyze, formulate, design, mobilize and drive strategic transformation initiatives.

Technology Change Delivery Overview

Technology Change Delivery (TCD) is part of EY’s Global Technology Consulting competency, providing technology and agile transformation management services to clients with speed. It is comprised of three main competencies:

  • Agile Transformation: customer‑centric Agile transformation services by supporting leaders with designing, planning and executing their value delivery needs
  • Transformation Management (TMO): helps clients structure and govern transformation programs to achieve desired outcomes and provide business value
  • Project Management as a Service (PMaaS): supports change delivery with experienced practitioners serving as Project Managers and Scrum Masters

Key Responsibilities

Support projects for Technology Change Delivery, either on a standalone workstream or for multiple elements within a client engagement. Deliver high‑quality work products within expected time frames and on budget. Monitor progress, identify and escalation risks/issues, keep stakeholders informed. Build client relationships, foster an innovative culture, mentor junior consultants, and participate in sales program and practice development activities.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Domain experience in Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance, and/or Wealth and Asset Management
  • Strong technology project management background with experience in enterprise change and technology management, data, infrastructure, or related software platforms
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; writing, publishing and conference‑level presentation skills a plus
To qualify for the role you must have
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 4+ years of post‑bachelor’s work experience (or 2 years for Master’s degree); at least two (2) years of which must be relevant work experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working as a consultant in a professional services firm delivering advisory services
  • Broad knowledge of the IT function and how IT enables the business through effective strategic planning, governance and management discipline
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing client demands
  • Remain current on technology advancements and obtain certifications required to drive advisory services capabilities
  • Experience in project delivery including configurations, release management and change management as well as knowledge of integration plans, integration reports and test procedures
  • Experience in scheduling and delivering implementations that include multiple components with tight interdependencies between these components
  • Experience in 3 of the following technical competencies: IT Transformation / Complex Program Management, Program / Transformation Governance and Management, Software Technical Delivery, Agile Transformation and Coaching, Business and IT Alignment, Program / Portfolio Architecture, IT Systems Integration and Separation, IT Service / Delivery Management, including Shared Services IT Cost Optimization, Budget / Financial Management and Enterprise Resource Management
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Knowledge of standard IT methodologies and processes such as PMBOK, Prince2, Six Sigma, CMMI, product management, systems development life cycles
  • Experience using tools such as Rally, Jira, Jira Align, MS Power Platform, Microsoft Project Online, Microsoft Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
  • Relevant industry certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master/Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Dev Ops, Leading SAFe, Lean Six Sigma (Any), Project Management
