Title:

Oracle Cloud Security Engineer

Location:

Phoenix, AZ(100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $40 - $43 n hour on W2 or C2C

Role Description:

1–5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) foundational capabilities, including:
- IAM
- VPC
- Cloud Logging
- Security Controls
- Storage
- Compute
1–5+ years of experience with Policy as Code (Sentinel) and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, with a focus on implementing security controls for all types of cloud-native infrastructure.
Define and develop Policy-as-Code (Client) frameworks, including Sentinel and cloud-native policies.
Define and develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
Improve Client and security guardrails using Sentinel and native cloud policies by closely working with CNAPP to enforce secure-by-default configurations across cloud platforms.
In-depth understanding of Public Cloud native offerings such as:
- Oracle Analytics Cloud
- Oracle Integration Cloud
- Storage
- Streaming
Experience troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining root causes for customer-reported issues, as well as building tools for faster diagnosis.
Understanding of cloud architecture to ensure high availability while maintaining the highest level of security and visibility.
Experience securing Oracle PaaS environments, including:
- Data Security
- Network Security
- Workload Isolation
- Policy Enforcement
Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Cloud Logging, Metrics, XQL, and other mechanisms.
Fin Ops (Cloud) domain knowledge preferred.

Software development experience in one of the following object-oriented programming languages:
- Java
- Go
- Python

Essential Skills:

1–5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) foundational capabilities, including:

1–5+ years of experience with Policy as Code (Sentinel) and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, with a focus on implementing security controls for all types of cloud-native infrastructure.
Experience defining and developing Policy-as-Code frameworks, including Sentinel and cloud-native policies.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.
Experience improving Client and security guardrails using Sentinel and native cloud policies.
Experience working with CNAPP to enforce secure-by-default configurations across cloud platforms.
In-depth understanding of Public Cloud native offerings such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud, Storage, and Streaming.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, high availability, security, and visibility.
Experience securing Oracle PaaS environments, including data security, network security, workload isolation, and policy enforcement.
