Electronics Technician, Hardware Engineer
Position Type: 12-Months Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician I to perform electronic testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and quality support functions. The ideal candidate will have strong microelectronics expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic devices at the SMD/IC/component level
.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic devices.
- Design and execute hardware testing procedures.
- Perform product testing and identify faults.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and determine root causes.
- Perform SMD/IC/component-level repair.
- Read schematics, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and BOMs.
- Perform PCB rework and soldering.
- Generate detailed testing, repair, and service reports.
- Document testing, repairs, parts usage, and service activities.
- Analyze data for fault trends, quality, and consumption metrics.
- Assist inventory teams with material orders and demand planning.
- Perform quality checks and rework products according to engineering specifications.
- Support field testing, inspections, and customer analysis.
- Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- 3+ years Electrical Engineering OR Electrical/Mechanical Testing/QA experience OR
- 5+ years Microelectronics Repair Technician experience.
- Strong microelectronics troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and BOMs.
- Experience with electronic testing equipment.
- PCB rework and soldering experience.
- Hardware diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
- ERP/WMS/MES experience.
- Ability to travel to customer sites within the U.S. and Canada.
