ABOUTTHE ROLE
Join a large Florida health system as an Epic Analyst focused on Patient Access, Referrals, and Enterprise Access. This hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity is based in Jacksonville, FL, and requires candidates to be local or willing to relocate. You will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing Epic patient access and referral workflows, owning build and production support, and partnering with operational leaders to drive workflow improvements.
The position offers significant growth potential, with opportunities to become a subject matter expert in Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) or Referrals, and to expand your expertise across additional Epic modules. The ideal candidate is a certified Epic professional with a strong foundation in patient access or referrals, a proven track record of independent ownership, and a passion for continuous learning and enterprise impact.
YOU'LL DO
- Independently own Epic build and production support for patient access, scheduling, registration, and referral workflows
- Serve as the primary build resource for Epic modules such as Prelude, Cadence, Referrals, MyChart, and Bridges
- Lead workflow redesign efforts and support online scheduling initiatives, including MyChart scheduling
- Partner directly with operational leaders to drive workflow improvements, optimize patient access, and enhance referral processes
- Support eligibility workflows, payer integrations, RTE, and patient access optimization
- Manage and optimize referral work queues, prior authorization workflows, ASA tables, decision trees, and visit type builds as needed
- Demonstrate rapid learning and ownership of additional Epic modules, contributing beyond core application responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage relationships across clinical and operational departments
- Contribute to project and production support initiatives, ensuring high-quality, efficient Epic system performance
- Grow into a subject matter expert role for RTE or Referrals within the health system, supporting enterprise access optimization
- Epic Certification in relevant modules (Prelude, HB, PB, Cadence Referral, Bridges, Referrals, Cadence, or MyChart)
- 5+ years of Epic Patient Access, Scheduling, Registration, or Referral workflow experience
- Proven ability to independently own Epic build and production support
- Located in Jacksonville, FL area or willing to relocate
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience partnering directly with operational leaders and driving workflow improvements
- RTE experience and/or eligibility workflows, payer integrations, and patient access optimization (preferred)
- Referrals certification and experience with referral work queues, prior authorization workflows, ASA tables, online/MyChart scheduling, decision trees, and visit type build (preferred)
- Demonstrated progression from analyst to senior analyst responsibilities
- Track record of learning and supporting additional Epic modules (badges, proficiencies, or certifications)
- Genuine desire to grow into the health system’s enterprise RTE or Referrals SME
- Consistently takes on responsibilities outside primary application and contributes to enterprise access optimization
