Overview
Lead Information Systems Security Officer position under the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. The role involves overseeing cybersecurity for acquisition programs and research laboratories.
Duties- You will serve as Lead Information Systems Security Officer for multiple Acquisition Program Integrated-Product Teams (IPT) and research Development Test and Engineering Laboratories.
- You will lead and guide other Cybersecurity personnel within the IPT/Labs to ensure information systems (IS) or platform information technology (PIT) systems comply with DoD/Navy Cybersecurity policies and instructions.
- You will ensure Cybersecurity requirements are fully integrated into all phases of acquisition, upgrade, or modification programs, including initial design, development, testing, fielding, and operation/sustainment.
- You will develop plans for the information or platform IT system assessment and authorization, evaluate assessments, recommend appropriate corrective action when deficiencies are identified, and prepare required reports.
- You will ensure the development, review, endorsement, and maintenance of cybersecurity for the assessment and approval documentation in accordance with DoD and DON policy for all applications, networks, and/or stand‑alone systems.

Salary: $89,508 – $140,426 per year. Pay Scale & Grade: DS 5. Full‑time with occasional travel. Telework eligible.

and category assigned to the position is required within established time frames. - Pre‑employment drug test (including marijuana) is required; a tentative offer will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report or fails the test. Random testing may be conducted.
- Travel may be required from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites; ability to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods is required.
- Ethics orientation must be completed within three months of appointment and a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE‑450, must be submitted within 30 days of appointment.
- Qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023, and supporting Department of Navy policies must be obtained.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS‑04 (GS‑11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the ability to implement and manage a comprehensive cyber security program, including integrating cyber security requirements into all phases of acquisition, upgrade, or modification programs.
