Commercial Real Estate Attorney
A respected law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its Commercial Real Estate and Multifamily Housing team. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants hands-on transactional experience and exposure to sophisticated real estate matters within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
- Support commercial and multifamily property acquisitions from contract through closing.
- Conduct and manage due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, easements, zoning, and related land use issues.
- Identify, analyze, and help resolve title and survey issues, coordinating directly with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with closings, including preparation and review of closing documents and post-closing deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on complex commercial and housing transactions.
- Maintain clear organization of transaction files and timelines to ensure smooth, efficient closings.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate or housing transactions.
- Licensed in Florida or Georgia (or ability to waive in, if applicable).
- Experience reviewing title commitments and surveys and addressing title objections.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced transactional environment.
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs and financing is a plus, including LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, HOME funds, USDA loans, FHA/HUD loans, and other financing tools.
