In K ’s Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) division, the Team Behind the Mission® delivers mission‑critical services to the U.S. military and coalition partners worldwide. Our key capabilities include base operations, contingency and expeditionary support, next‑generation asset management, digitally focused logistics, prepositioned stock, and integrated supply chain management. This role will support the Marine Corps’ Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) and Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP), ensuring combat‑ready equipment and supplies are pre‑positioned for rapid deployment and sustainment of Marine forces.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage the procurement of goods, services, and supplies, negotiate favorable terms and volume discounts, address defects and delivery delays, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.

Location:

Fully onsite at Blount Island Military Installation, Jacksonville, FL.

• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long‑term contracts with suppliers.
• Ensure timely procurement aligned with business requirements.
• Resolve defects and delivery issues, negotiating refunds or replacement orders.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams for scheduling and receipt of goods.
• Review supplier performance, monitor contract compliance, and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, including contracts, orders, and correspondence.
• Analyze market trends and recommend improvements to procurement strategies.
• Assist in preparing procurement reports and data analysis to inform decision‑making.
• Support procurement forecasts and planning activities.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
• Basic understanding of procurement policies, practices, and industry standards.

• Experience with Deltek (CostPoint) or similar procurement software.
• Familiarity with Federal Government contracts or subcontract processes.
• Knowledge of commercial or defense procurement processes.
