Position Overview

The M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division works at shipyards around the world from our regional offices in Chesapeake, VA, and San Diego, CA. Become a key member of our Alteration Installation Teams, supporting C4

• Develop logistic program operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Develop project site layout design, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating, and recommending new equipment.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Secure property by developing protection and access policies and procedures, coordinating patrols with security department.
• Actively maintain detailed inventory log of equipment and material contained on project site.
• Coordinate with multiple vendors (including manufacturers and distributors) to arrange deliveries on a consistent schedule.
• Establish consistent delivery schedule with a 3 week look ahead (both for material that is needed on project).
• Perform quality checks of all material that enters and exits the project site. Coordinate with QC and production to ensure identification, segregation and proper disposition of non-conforming material (RMA, RTV, Purges, Holds etc.).
• Implement MCD and contractual obligations towards management of Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE).
• Attend weekly project team meetings with various project teams to understand the needs of the job sites. Coordinate and communicate with all project superintendents, project managers, and project engineers who have material stored in warehouse.
• Coordinated closely with personnel located at MMEP to ensure that material is transferred (with documentation) to MMEP. Document, implement and maintain controls applicable to ISO
  9001, ISO
  27001, CMMI, and UL standards.
• Maintain secure storage of certain material to meet client material security requirements. Understand project job requirements and be able to compare material received against specific project requirements.

• High school diploma / GED required.
• 8+ or more years of experience in logistic/supply chain management.
• Managing processes and inventory cycle counting, MS Excel analyzing information.
• Ability to travel locally with own transportation.
